I would like to thank my extraordinary former colleagues at CRS. Space did not allow me to highlight the work of all of the people I was fortunate enough to work with at CRS, but their belief in the wisdom and strength of the communities we served inspired this Essay and continue to inspire me in my work as a civil rights lawyer. Many thanks as well to my fantastic current colleagues at the Stop Hate Project, who share this commitment to service and to racial justice. Thank you to Nadia Aziz, Arusha Gordon, Gabrielle Gray, Allison Nadler, and Peggy Ramin for your input on this Essay.
